It’s time to talk about my favourite lubricant. Stringy, never tacky, long lasting and incredibly fun; Tenga Real Hole Lubricant is everything I’ve ever needed in a lubricant, and more.
I received my Tenga Real Hole Lubricant as part of my series of reviews of products from Motsu Toys. Motsu Toys is a company located in the Netherlands that specializes in importing Japanese adult toys and products to the EU market.
Real Hole Lubricant off the bat is one of the best lubricants I’ve ever used. I’m somewhat of a lube fiend and when it comes to usage I want something that is long lasting, slick and never tacky. Real Hole manages to tick all of my boxes and it comes in a fun little bottle to boot! Speaking of, the Real Hole Lubricant bottle reminds me of and old school ketchup bottle; simple in nature with the right amount of suction. In case you squeeze out a little too much, it can be sucked right back into the bottle. Because of its incredibly stringy nature, I recommend the smallest amount to begin with. It takes a while for this lube to wear out so you don’t want to begin with a massive amount.
Time for some real talk
Stepping away from the enjoyment. Real Hole Lubricant and its list of ingredients can be viewed as somewhat problematic – depending on whom you ask. Straight up, those who have vaginas should avoid lubricants that include glycerin. The risk of developing a UTI and/or thrush just isn’t worth it. To add to things you should also avoid, parabens have been linked to causing infertility. For a full rundown of ingredients, I’ve included a list below.
Water, Glycerin, Ethanol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Phenoxyethanol, EDTA-2Na, Paraben, Polysolvate 80, Sorbitan Cocoate, Fragrance.
I wouldn’t normally recommend a lubricant like Real Hole Lubricant for anyone using it as a sex aid. I would recommend it though for protected anal sex (with a condom) and anal fisting. The viscosity, from what I’ve read is incredibly similar to that of J-Lube (review coming soon) but it comes with none of the painstakingly joyless task of cleaning up that J-Lube entails so it is a great addition to anyone looking into exploring the heavier side of anal play.
A task, but manageable. The slick nature of Real Hole Lubricant isn’t as water friendly as most other water-based lubricants. If it isn’t cleaned up entirely you will be faced with a slick, grease-like residue. Warm, soapy water is a necessity and it’s best to rinse off any clothing as soon as possible to avoid the residue staying around.
Tenga’s Real Hole Lubricant is an incredibly fun lubricant that can be enjoyed by most. If you aren’t too concerned about the ingredients, I say enjoy at will but take care and make smart choices. There are a million other types of lubricant that could be recommended in place of Real Hole Lubricant but if, like me, you’re after something long lasting, water-based, slick and enjoyable – Real Hole Lubricant is the lube for you.
